Multilingual Learners' Testing
Federal law requires states to annually assess the English language proficiency of all multilingual learners in grades K–12, including students whose families have declined or withdrawn from multilingual learner services. The required assessment for this purpose is WIDA ACCESS. For multilingual learners with significant cognitive disabilities, WIDA Alternate ACCESS is administered. Ashley River Creative Arts Elementary School will administer the ACCESS test from February 2-27, 2026.
