Our School
Ashley River Creative Arts Elementary School was established in 1984 as one of the first magnet schools in the CCSD.
We were created with the vision of providing an arts-integrated curriculum that would benefit all students.
ARCAE's Mission
In partnership with parents and community, we will provide all students the opportunity to reach their maximum potential through an arts-integrated academic curriculum, providing relevant, diverse, and challenging learning experiences in a safe and positive environment.

In the Classroom
School curriculum in ELA is focused on skills, especially reading, writing, speaking, and listening, participating in research, and exposure to a variety of genres, texts, and authors.
Strings at Ashley River
All students at Ashley River have the opportunity to take strings classes at the beginner and advanced level.
School Performances
Students at Ashley River have the opportunity to perform in showcases throughout the year.
Hip-Hop Residency
Through the generosity of our PTA, students can participate in a semester-long Hip-Hop Residency! Ashley River also offers weeklong residencies, bringing in visiting artists from a wide variety of art disciplines to teach and create with our students.
